I recently had the pleasure of dinning at Chef Yohanis' fish-exclusive restaurant, Asa Bet. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere which sets the tone for the afternoon, and imagine the pleasant surprise when Chef Yohanis himself comes over to welcome us and discuss the menu offerings and share his passion for showcasing the potential of fish in Ethiopian cuisine.

Asa Bet’s menu, a veritable treasure trove of fish-centric delights, comprises three distinct sections: breakfast, casual dining, and fine dining. The breakfast offerings provide an enticing introduction to the meal, with flavors that whetted the appetite for what was to come.

The casual dining menu was where I truly felt the pulse of Chef Yohanis' creativity.
